So true, John. I have, and still do, spend a good amount of time telling people that when we share the bad times, as well as the good, that - even if it doesn't CHANGE the situation itself - it helps us all, by knowing that we are not alone; not the "only one" going through such and such a time. It helps us all to see that we are each individuals who have much the same struggles in our lives and that we all need one another's support. When we share out lives with each other we find counsel. When we shut ourselves off from each other we tend to believe that "I am the only one" thinking this, or that "I'm not as spiritual as they are", etc. Becoming hermits emotionally can lead to becoming hermits spiritually - and I don't think that's what God wants us to do.

Hi, Betty:

I've written off and on for awhile. I started this series on Proverbs with an intro on 4/31. I think you can go back and find them all on the home page of my blog: www.johndstrain.com.

I'm glad you enjoy them. I enjoy writing, but I'm not sure I'm good enough or disciplined enough to publish a book. Just knowing that I've committed to publishing something each day for the month of may is good discipline, and it forces me to write.

Greetings to Roger. I hope you're both well. I'm curious to see if you'll let Fred come home with Susan! :)

Love and prayer,

Me

Hi, didn't realize you were writing. This is so true. And I like the way you write-- Short but to the point. How many have you written? Have you given any thought to putting them in a book, perhaps a devotional? Thanks so much for sharing .

John: I've read The Proverbs for years along with my daily devotion. I am a testimony, that the wisdom can not be exhausted. Thanks, I will follow.
