I’m a husband, father, grandfather, pastor, and fledgling spiritual director. Since 1992, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Toms River, NJ.
My passion is simple: to see Christ formed in me and in the lives of those I serve. I believe spiritual formation may be the key to helping Christians become mature followers of Jesus. It causes me to wonder why the ministry of formation gets so little attention in so many evangelical and fundamental churches.
I’m grateful to God for His salvation, for my wife and children and grandchildren, for my church family and for good health. He’s been at work in my life from before I was born. I’ve experienced undeserved grace on more occasions than I can remember, and I revel in that grace and His love that offers it.
This blog, I hope, will record my ongoing journey with Jesus . . . what He teaches me . . . the ways He guides me . . . the transformation He brings to my life. I invite you to share the journey.
